About Jeff Carter
Jeff is an experienced negotiator, litigator, and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator who represents individuals and business entities in commercial business litigation and transactions, intellectual property, entertainment law, construction disputes, condominium and homeowners’ associations, municipal law, general business counsel, first-party property damage and insurance claims, land use, and has served as general counsel to various counties and cities in the Florida panhandle. Jeff also devotes a significant portion of his practice to his role as a certified circuit civil mediator in all manner of disputes.
Jeff has also enjoyed a successful career in the music industry as a professional guitarist, songwriter, bandleader, and artist manager. Jeff has worked with award-winning recording artists Deana Carter, Charlie Daniels, Bob Dylan, Keith Urban, Alan Jackson, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Jake Owen, members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many others. Jeff’s guitar work and original compositions have aired on national radio and television. Jeff represents his creative colleagues in matters relating to recording, publishing, production, touring, artist development, and management.
Jeff graduated with honors from The University of Tennessee College of Law, where he served as an editor on the Tennessee Law Review. Jeff’s research and writing have been published in the Tennessee Law Review and The Entrepreneurial Law Clinic Handbook, a West publication. Jeff is an active member of his community and has served on several boards and committees for the Florida Bar and other state and local civic entities. Jeff was appointed by Governors Rick Scott and Ron Desantis to Florida’s Judicial Nominating Commission for the 14th Judicial Circuit. Jeff’s goal is to provide exceptional service, empathy, value and expertise to his clients in an open and friendly atmosphere.
